Engine oil change with a 12V electric extractor pump. Tricks and tips. Camry

Engine oil change is always a messy job. By using an oil pump can make it just that little bit less messy and quicker. There is no need to jack up the car, and in most case there is no need to craw under the car in the process. It is also make recycle the oil simple as you can pump the oil directly into the container. I think it is the best option for DIY oil change at home.

In this video, I will share with you my tricks and tips for quick and simple way to change engine oil with a 12v electric oil extractor pump. A lot mechanic shops are using the similar way to pump out the engine oil instead of opening the oil drain plug. And here is how you can do it yourself. The old engine oil can be recycled by your local recycling center. This is a good way to save some money and and be environmental friendly. Similar process can be done on different car. The demonstration is done on my trusty old Toyota Camry 1999.

I use a 12V battery instead of the car battery because I don't like to drain car battery too much. If you are going to use your car battery, you should make sure it is in good condition, so you will not over drain it and case damage to your battery and later failed to start your car.

A side note on old Toyota Camry. The dash clock sometime felt out of place. This happened to me a few times since I own the car for 20 years. Here is how I open up the console to re-seat it. Not difficult if you know the way.
